What started as a slow news week really picked up at the end. On everyone’s mind in the last half day is that massive jury verdict against Rudy Giuliani for nearly $150 million in compensatory and punitive damages.
The far-right tried to portray this as some kind of free speech issue. That didn’t go very far.
It’s not a Giuliani day without our friends at Four Seasons Total Landscaping weighing in.
And while Rudy is famous for his hair dye misadventures (run Rudy, run!), no one expected his own lawyer’s coif to outdo him.
It reminded folks of someone…
Hair Führer?
Things hadn’t been looking good for Rudy during the trial. After boasting at the start of it that his testimony would show that everything he had claimed was true, he decided “last minute” not to take the stand in his own defense.
That sounded a lot like other MAGA leaders lately.
The soundtrack needs to be on for this clip.
The House voted, predictably along strict party lines, to begin an “impeachment inquiry” around President Biden, even though they have no evidence after nearly a year in power and five years of investigating his son, Hunter Biden.
Here’s what Speaker Mike Johnson said about this kind of stunt when the shoe was on the orange foot:
In his court papers, Trump and the GOP have been arguing for “absolute immunity” from criminal prosecution for Trump, even though he’s now only an ex-president. Folks spotted the logical hole in that one pretty quickly.
The other big news was that there’s a Binder Full of Russians missing. Apparently, it’s super top secret because it contains intelligence about Russian efforts to interfere with the 2016 election, and Trump tried to declassify all of it (putting our sources at grave risk). Then it just… disappeared.

The Iowa caucuses are on the minds of GOP hopefuls, and Vivek Ramaswamy was feeling a bit flushed from his own effort so far. Listen here if you want to hear that…
It’s starting to dawn on people that, with the Dow at an all-time high, record low unemployment, inflation falling, interest rates set to come down, and growth at 5.2% last quarter, maybe the economy isn’t so terrible under Biden after all. Maybe a lot is media messaging?
And life under Trump as king would be fine, right?
And in Iowa, they don’t like old leaders.
The horrific story of Kate Cox’s abortion denial in Texas gripped the nation. And it concerned Susan Collins, who had voted to confirm Kavanaugh.
The apology letters from defendants Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro were released, and yeah.
I’m sorry you think I did something bad!
An angry far-right Christian decapitated a statute erected by the Satanic Temple, and conservatives and extremists cheered, saying it struck a blow against “blasphemy.” The First Amendment account weighed in.
Speaking of religious zealots, this post made the rounds:
But there was a detail that was even better:
Kid Rock’s stance against Bud Light gave way to his desire to start drinking it again…
And a bull got loose on the New Jersey Transit tracks somehow (watch clip here), prompting this FTW from Secretary Buttigieg:
Fox was busy celebrating the holidays…
And Trump voters again proved why this is a fight for the survival of the American democratic experiment. Clip here:
Meanwhile, the Tesla truck launch is going well. Watch clip here.
More footage of launch day here.
In better animal skills, this jump roping had me genuinely impressed! Watch here.
This doggo knows evil when it sees it. Watch here.
Speaking of evil, the side eye here is now legend. Watch here.
And on the subject of snagging all the tasties on the plate,
Pure evil. And on that question, here’s a good one for the holidays:
And actually, here’s an even better one that is just So. Wrong.
Here are some humans being clever:
And resourceful:
And over the top.
And adventurous. The soundtrack needs to be on for this clip. Wait for it…
(I laughed aloud at this, proving I’m really just 12 years old still.)
I’ve posted these kinds of spinning art before, but it’s fun to see variations like this one. Watch and be mesmerized here.
This is for the fans in the UK:
I miss this, too.
Okay, so two dad jokes today.
This will be me.
And the dry humor here is *chef’s kiss*:
Have a great weekend!

I laughed out loud at so many of these, but the article from the British paper, I really need to see the article below it, No Escape From Trump. It uses the word "Trumpageddon" and it's in a newsletter from someplace called "Popbitch". Seriously, an inquiring mind needs to know. The video of trump voters made me wish I could just slap them upside the head, especially the guy who didn't understand driver's licenses. Good grief.
I thought it was just my TV when I saw Rudy's lawyers hair. WTAF!? 😂😂 Hitler youth! And the Four Seasons tweet was priceless! So was Vivek... ugh! Anyway, a great start to my Saturday....so appreciated! 🤣✌️
