I thought perhaps for the New Year this was now a paid feature, and though disappointed, couldn't remotely blame you for charging for this ongoing (and ever-better!) excellence!! ❤️
Leave perfection to the DIVINE! (Not to suggest that you are not a vessel of the ✨.)
“There is an ancient tale told that Persian rug makers used to intentionally weave a flaw into each of their carpets. This intentional “Persian Flaw” was included because only God’s creations can be perfect and it would be arrogant for a mortal to aspire to perfection.
This intentional flaw also serves as a “signature” of their work and they embrace their imperfections.”
Thanks! You deserve to be paid, but we're still in financial recovery from a really tough couple of years. I hoped it was a goof because I rely on it for some good laughs.
Unfortunately, Substack defaults to paid when you are ready to publish. Then, even if you fix that, it defaults to only paid subscribers can comment. There's no way to change the defaults that I'm aware of.
Hi Jay! My new year's gift to myself was an upgrade to paid...thank you for one of my very best morning reads -- and the weekend giggles, of course. Keep on truckin'...and enjoy a wonderful personal 2025 as you continue to inform and guide us...best, Sharon
Thank you! Hopefully anyone on the fence about subscribing is now supporting you. FWIW I clicked on the link in the app and it wouldn't allow me to subscribe...

My goal is to always keep all of my content free!
THANK YOU!!!!
Thanks Jay. I was unhappy about a paywall but you fixed it.... thank you.

This happened a few days ago as well...thought our man was going all-paid, not that Jay doesn't deserve it!

tried to share to FB and it was removed twice as “spam”
Just add a fascist-related hashtag to it and you'll be fine. /s
Another reason to dump Facebook and stick to Substack.
I’m on facebook just to be with friends. I share credible journalism like Jay, Joyce Vance and HCR on my page to hopefully enlighten others
Same!
I'm so relieved! I look forward to and savor each and every one of these posts!

I was going to subscribe anyway to support your writing.
I'm a subscriber but I would happily pay twice just to get the Skeets and Giggles every Saturday. Think about it.
Thank you Jay!
Well, then, I guess I'll have to "republish" my comment :-)
Thanks to this week's version of Skeets and Giggles, a lightbulb turned on over my head and I finally figured out why Trump won.
Americans love comedy!!
Thanks, as always, Jay, for doing your Substack in such an inclusive way.

Just read your "always free" comment. THANK YOU. This specific post always makes my week, and I share a lot of them 😁
Thanks!!
thank you!
