Marco probably has already had Susie Wiles use her AI machine to locate parcels of land to claim. If he doesn't end up with beachfront property to develop by the time this is all over, I'll do a Substack video wearing a red MAGA cap.

This nation is governed by a big fat crime syndicate. We're about to find out definitively what attracted Rubio to this clown show in the first place.

Perfect. What person with a brain could possibly think the Trump Criminal Cartel is doing this for ANY other reason than personal gain.

1952 - 1959: Cuba run by dictator and mobsters.

1959 to 2026: Cuba run by Communists

2026 - ? : Cuba run by dictator/mobster.

Seems that Cubans can't get a break.

Trump wants to turn Cuba into a trump resort.

When the U.S. occupied Cuba from 1898 to 1946 and then as a crime mob backed banana republic from 1946 to 1959, Havana had America mafia run casinos. “Liberating” Cuba will bring back casinos for Miriam Adelson to run.

Same with Gaza and anywhere else he can invade and occupy. Good luck with the Gaza idea. It will never happen.

Robin's avatar

Yes and he’s occupying WDC now too. 😫

Glitzy, gaudy, full of bling and bedbugs!

gaza, cuba, ... this guy really really wants to move in and squat among the rubble he makes in other people's countries. greenland, too; he's after a weird sort of empire.

The obstacle, Rubio claimed, is “those who control your country,” who have “plundered billions of dollars” while leaving Cubans without electricity, food, or fuel.“

Irony dies again. What a stunning lack of self-awareness.

DW's avatar

That's not lack of self-awareness. He's a liar, and he knows full well what he's doing.

maggie towne's avatar

He knows what he’s doing

Jocelyn B's avatar

DW my thoughts exactly

Lisa's avatar

True. Irony is no longer dying in the shadows. It's committing suicide right in front of us.

Rubio’s relatives fled before the Castro regime took over. They fled the dictatorship of Batista. Funny that Little Marco now works for a wanna be.

ktb8402799's avatar

They didn’t even “flee.” They moved. The man is dangerously delusional.

Carol Gawle's avatar

Time for other countries to begin indicting Trump and his whole gang of criminals as well!!!

Thank you for posting this. For some reason this was off of my radar, and I am grateful for the briefing.

It doesn't seem to follow to me to be telling the Cuban people that their own government is to blame for their woes while it is our blockade that is inflicting their suffering. If I were a Cuban citizen, that would stiffen my own resolve against any US incursion.

Mar-a-lago is well within drone range of Cuba. Maybe some of those weekend golf games are going to get interesting.

Bill Riley's avatar

Incursion? Donald J. Trump only does excursions.

JW's avatar

This is exactly why Rubio has been willing to clomp around in those stupid shoes and be humiliated on oversized couches. This is the opportunity he traded everything for. I don’t believe for a second he’s not gonna figure out how to make it happen.

Pam Birkenfeld's avatar

And his “family story” isn’t even the truth. His family was not oppressed by anybody and they left of their own free will not because they were oppressed. Another story built on lies.

JW's avatar

I didn’t know that. But here’s my surprised face. 😑

Celeste Myslewski's avatar

I have to laugh (or I'll scream) when the MSM bobbleheads cheerily suggest that America is waiting with bated breath for Marco's announcement of his presidential run. Like, Jesus Christ!!, you're really excited?? that this Crime Cartel be carried forward?! Is this a PANDEMIC of insanity??

hcmBoston's avatar

I feel ill. Trump does nothing that doesn't benefit him so someone has gotten him to believe that this will benefit him.

Heidi L 🇵🇸 🇺🇦 🇬🇱's avatar

And Iran - don't forget Trump urged them to stand up against their government. And that went well...🙄

GreatCeasarsGhost's avatar

After the US military MURDERED ~150 Iranian grade school girls, who are the Iranian parents & relatives going to seek revenge on?

Ada Fuller's avatar

When will someone indict trump, then come get him and put us out of our misery.

Mmmm's avatar

Let’s see the came charges Castro is receiving applied to members in our military and government that blew up unarmed boats with lies about them being drug boats. Charge them all and hang them. The military is full of trumpanzees. Full of them.

Brenda Feeney's avatar

One hypocrisy after another…….

GreatCeasarsGhost's avatar

Exactly!!! Adm Holsey, Commander of Southern Command, 'resigned' after the very first attack.

No doubt kegbreth 'promised' to provide the proof & then did nothing. Holsey, a Black navy officer, did NOT resign willingly.

John H's avatar

Really? Rubio claimed “those who control your country,” who have “plundered billions of dollars,” and then sought to suggest Trump would offer "a new path between the U.S. and a new Cuba"? Has he not been paying attention to what Trump is doing to the USA? And if you'd like some long-term perspective, you need only ask the residents of Puerto Rico about U.S. support.

So I’m sure Trump diplomatic real estate developers are chomping at the bit for high rise desecration of Cuba’s land along the sea shores. Those lucky Cubans then can be employed as bus boys & hotel maids. $100 million? Making Cuba great again? Is Venezuela great yet? What’s happening there?? Gads!! Will all those angry old Cubans in South Florida move back to their dream land after decades of bitching? I’m so sick of this war mongering.

Alyce Catherman's avatar

I’m sick of the mongering period. War, ICE, SCROTUM, the FELON, Kegsbreath, the unconfirmed Interim AG who thinks he can let DER Leader do what he will. Notice it’s a list of men. Horrible men.

Pam Birkenfeld's avatar

The Iranian war is affecting USA in many economic ways. But a war 90 miles from the coast of Florida? And when it is said that Venezuela has been liberated, that’s ridiculous. The person who’s in there now is just as oppressive as the guy that we have thrown in jail. Nothing liberated there. Except the money. We’re going to be bankrupt.

Kate's avatar

Exactly—Venezuelans are in the same predicament they were in with Maduro there—utterly deplorable.

Kate's avatar

All the contracts to “rebuild” Cuba will be no bid grifts from florida based trash. Rick Wilson also has great info about all this, as a Floridian he really understands all the nuance. Let Cuba solve their own damn problems, we have enough!

Rick Massimo's avatar

Is one possible explanation for the slavish devotion of Trump’s minions a sense of “You can talk the old man into anything”?
