Hello, dear readers! I’m very excited for the launch of my book, MA IN ALL CAPS, which was a labor of love begun during the pandemic and is finally finished this year.
I’ll make this pitch quick: I would absolutely love you to read this book. It’s full of funny, snappy conversations between me and my Ma, captured as verbatim as I could get them in the moment. It’s also filled with Ma’s incredible stories, ones that span continents and generations, through wars and strife, triumph and heartbreak. This is my tribute to her. In these pages she will live forever.
The Kindle version is already on pre-sale. Note that you don’t need a Kindle to be able to order an electronic copy. You can read it using the Kindle App on your computer or iPad, too. Pre-orders, if I get enough of them, could put me on the best seller charts in categories like wit/humor or memoirs. Hey, it’s possible if enough folks support my launch!
For those who prefer print versions, it also comes out and will be available for sale on November 8.
Some of you have asked if you can buy an autographed hardcopy. After some thought, I’m making some copies available at a higher cost because of shipping and also because I’d really like help covering the cost of the audiobook version, which is being recorded by my brother Kaiser over the next two months. Excitement!
So if you want an autographed copy, simply send me a PayPal or Venmo payment of $50 and I’ll put you on the list and will know how many to order from my publisher. Here are my payment details:
Venmo: @Jay-Kuo
PayPal: nycjayjay@gmail.com
I plan to hold some in-person readings and book signings in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, London and Portland. Those are the cities where I have the most number of readers and fans! I may add more if there’s interest. Thank you so very much for your incredible encouragement and support on this project. I can’t believe it’s almost the big day! Ahhhhh!!
Jay
Definitely come to Portland! If you need contacts to bookstores to do your reading, I can help! My hubs is in that world. We know the owner of Powell's, which is one of the largest bookstores in the country.
Congratulations! Your adorable MA must be so proud of you!
