The famed unity of the GOP is beginning to fray—and quite publicly. Over the weekend, a new member of the GOP House caucus, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), called out fellow GOP Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) for her blatantly anti-Muslim statements. Boebert had made headlines after videos leaked of her telling racist jokes and inventing false stories about Muslim Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, in which she implied Omar was a terrorist and referred to her as part of the “Jihad Squad.” The statement by Mace, given to CNN during an interview, was notable because, even while Mace hedged her criticism by sprinkling in “both sides” points (for example, by calling on Democrats to rein in far-left voices like Rep. Maxine Waters), she “100 percent” condemned Boebert’s statements—something House GOP Leadership has never had the courage to do.
Just a quick comment: I really dislike honoring conspiracy nuts with the term "theorist." It's not only wildly inaccurate, but it elevates their status beyond any reasonable due. I generally use "conspiracy monger" or simply "conspiracist," which are more accurate. (And conspiracist has the added subliminal benefit of containing "racist." LOL)
I have to admit that I couldn't continue reading after the sentence about McCarthy being elected Speaker of the House after the 2022 congressional elections when Republicans are expected to take back the House. The horror of that occurrence stopped me in my tracks. I am still clinging to the hope that the current Democrat majority will hold.
This is all a diversion to keep the media and pundits occupied while Republicans around the country are getting voting and abortion rights. Unfortunately, the media falls for this, every time. We're screwed.

Democrats have a difference of opinion on policy matters. Republicans go on personal attacks over bigotry and racism .. actually supporting both.
The media can blame Dems all they want for being in disarray but the entire country sees what Reps are doing to each other.
It's disgraceful.
