What an unholy mess!

I vote for putting Keefe in prison and the Dems putting 200% effort to at least turn Florida purple.

This from a September 2021 article in a Tampa newspaper:

“… Since news broke about Vertol’s involvement in DeSantis’ migrant flight programs, its website was taken offline. In April, the website said Vertol operated four types of helicopters and three types of small planes with a maximum capacity of 12 people. (FAA records show the company has 55 aircraft.)

None of the company’s planes flew the 48 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard. Instead, flight records show Ohio-based Ultimate JetCharters flew them, apparently as a subcontractor. The state’s contracting websites show no payments to the company. Ultimate JetCharters, which specializes in corporate shuttles, sports team travel and casino trips, has not responded to repeated requests for comment about how it came to be involved in the program or whether it would continue the work.

Another round of flights by Ultimate JetCharters was scheduled this week to fly migrants from Texas to Delaware — Biden’s home state — but they were canceled without explanation, leaving the migrants stranded in Texas.

2022 is certainly not giving the GOP any breaks... It seems Ron’s reputation as a canny player might be starting to unravel.

What a tangled web ... Jay, once again you start to pull the thread and are following it to its murky end. Several men seem to be in the center of the web. Where does DeSantis fit in this mess? Can he be directly implicated and also suffer severe legal consequences?

I remember hearing back when Desatan and his merry band of demons were involved in banning school books due to their contamination with Wokeness”, that there was something funny about how that all ended up. What I read, and in all fairness cannot verify, was that the books that were finally approved for use in the sunshine state (my home) were all purchased from ONE company based in Texas, I believe. And the problem, again as I read it, was that this company had direct ties to Ronnie Boy’s administration. Does anyone know if this is true, or was this discredited? The apparently obvious corruption of this current issue made me very curious about the validity of some of ole’ Ron’s previous greatest hits. Would love some feedback, thanks in advance.

Wow. Thank you for the clear explanation.

I knew these scumwards were deeply slimy, but to be so overtly criminal is shocking, even for a cesspool like Florida. These criminals REALLY need to be prosecuted. There are likely MANY more shady/criminal acts the DeSantis clown car is involved in.

There have always been scandals, corporate chicanery, back-scratching, but the extent to which these practices have been incorporated into the political genre as disheartening, to sky the least. It's getting to the point where these types of exercises are an audition...

Let's not leave out of this discussion the fact that the dollars were only authorized by the taxpayers for the removal of illegal residents in the state of Florida. These residents were not in the state of Florida, they were in the state of Texas. They were also not illegal. They were in the United States legally awaiting court responses to their immigration status. So the fact of the matter is the funds were not legally allowed to be spent because these people were neither in the state of Florida nor here illegally. The governor can claim all he wants that those residents "planned" to come to Florida, but unless he can demonstrate his ability to not only be a clairvoyant, but that clairvoyance is supported by the Florida legislature's budgeting this is still an illegal act
