I knew I liked you but this makes me a mega FAN. Hadestown?! My grandson did lights for it and seeing it from house seats was one of the best nights of a long life of theater-going. Good luck with this new production.
Is there anything you can’t do, Jay? I mean, you must thrive on little sleep, what with two very young young’uns, being Chairman at the HRC, researching and writing The SK and The BP, writing books (loved MA IN ALL CAPS!), maintaining strong ties to the community (including your readers), your family, having happy, healthy pets, mentoring… need I go on? I’m exhausted from just typing that much out!
YOU are an amazing man, Jay. I can't believe my good fortune to "find" you & be part of your fan club. How fine to have such a creative outlet that gives you respite from the important work of explaining legal issues & putting them in context for lay people, like me. You go, guy!!!
The Inheritance was the last thing I saw before the Covid shutdown and it was incredible. I was just discussing it tonight at dinner! I happened to be in the audience the same night (last few performances) as Hilary Clinton. What an experience.
I've been reading your letters regularly for a couple of yours in my home in Smithers, British Columbia, Canada, and was delighted to see that you co-produced Hadestown. Our local high school, Smithers Secondary School, has chosen Hadestown for its annual drama production!

Congratulations on the upcoming opening!!

Jay. How about a production of The Sound of Music set in the U.S.? Minneapolis?
Oh BURN!
The lakes are alive, with the sound of ICEmen...
The family fleeing into Canada!
Oh, well then, you've also got woods and thousands of lakes, peoples' remote lake cabins and deer stands! God, I hope they haven't built a wall...
Edelweiss
That might require a whole lot of rëengineering. Will there be a convent? Would you see the actual music...? Maybe call it "Mickey and Minneapolis."

Congratulations!
I had no idea.
I am an actor and writer myself! I wish you all the best with this project.
And I loved loved loved Hadestown!
Mr Renaissance Man! Outstanding, Jay, and a testimonial to your extraordinarily broad interests...plus being a parent to two wee tots!
Can't wait to see this! I was so blown away by Indigo!
Fracture the proverbial appendage!!!
Congratulations, Jay. I wish you all the best.
How refreshing is this and so necessary
