Now that we see Putin's list of undesirables matches Trump's list of enemies, there can no longer be any doubt that he is acting as a Russian agent and has been committing treason in plain sight.

This makes me think about the translator’s notes that Trump took after he and Putin had their private meeting. Seems like another blatant violation of the NARA policies.

Thank you Jay. Dangerous times everyone—we must remain vigilant and strong through the storm, it’s already started and it will only get worse as they realize their time is almost up.

Great post. As for Trump’s “What about Joe Biden?”-ism, he understands perfectly well how his case of willful retention and communication and of obstruction is so markedly different. He just doesn’t care.

Is being found guilty of the Espionage Act enough to keep him out of the Presidency? Or is that only Seditious Conspiracy or Treason?

Trump's m/o is to mislead everyone. I don't know why the fact that he misled his own attorney should surprise anyone. I also don't understand why people keep blindly jumping into this black hole. You'd think people with that much education would be smarter than that. Duh.

Thank you, Jay. Your writings help me keep a clear head in these very troubling and scary times...at least as clear a head as daily chaos allows. My blood pressure thanks you.

I'm hoping that Trump's comments at his town hall will help convict him too:

"Trump’s lawyers told Congress last month that the classified documents found at his Mar-a-Lago compound got there by accident. But when questioned about the issue at a CNN town hall, Trump said he had “every right” to take them from the White House.

“I didn’t make a secret of it,” he said. “You know, the boxes were stationed outside the White House, people were taking pictures of it.”

He said he didn’t recall having shown secret material to others, which is a key question prosecutors would want to answer. Disclosing classified material to people not authorized to receive it is a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Asked if he showed classified documents to others, he answered, “Not really…I would have the right to,” later adding, “not that I can think of.”

Possession is 9/10ths of the law and being in possession of stolen goods is a crime. When I handled any classified materials at my old job, I was briefed of and knew of the penalties for mishandling, losing, or possessing any of those papers beyond what was necessary to doing my job. There were no excuses for doing otherwise, but I guess if you’re the President, ordinary rules don’t apply, particularly if members of a certain political party have your back in Congress…

Thank you Jay! Once again, for expertly outlining the legal perils that are haunting the tangerine toddler. Now Jack Smith needs to LOCK HIM UP!!!!! My apologies, but my pettiness sometimes gets the better of me. Have a great weekend everyone!

“On June 4, the day after Bratt leaves, the employee helps Nauta pack up an SUV, and Trump leaves for Bedminster for the summer.”

Okay, so that implies that Dumpy may have taken a whole bunch of other classified documents with him to Bedminster. What has the DOJ done to search that and all other properties of Dumpy for anything he is still keeping?
