Several Substack writers have definitely been on this, but apparently the obvious has eluded the MSM, who follow — and report — trump's frantic "market-calming" albeit contradictory SM tweets, without connecting the so-obvious dots.
This past year has proven to be a veritable mother-lode for insider market trades, beginning with the "Liberation Day" tariff announcement, which then was followed by enumerable TACO actions, causing wild market gyrations in both directions.
And now, trump's Iranian war has opened new veins of profitable insider info, as his SM tweets yet again cause rapid swings in the markets, and those in most-favored access get to place their bets ahead of the tweets and watch the money roll in.
I imagine if and when (fingers crossed!) the Dems take over Congress, there will be a lot of investigating of which people fortuitously invested one way or the other during his fiscal machinations.
At the very least, I expect Ron Wyden to be on it. Many years ago, I was talking to a young man, a progressive, at my local Democratic County office in Oregon. There were buttons and cards and what not for candidates. This person said to me, "Wyden has to go."
Turns out, he is doing some of the best investigative work, following the financial connections in the Epstein case. Sometimes being a bit older and having been around the block a few times brings some benefits.
Sorry, got sidetracked with one of my primary peeves - ageism
Hopefully the sack of orange slime will die of natural causes before he has a chance to launch a mass pardon operation for all his criminal associates. I don't know what is keeping mother nature. She must be morbidly curious about this lunatic.
As a relatively recent transplant to Oregon, and a senior citizen, I am really appreciative of Senator Wyden. I also deeply appreciate my former senator from Arizona—Mark Kelly.
I don't think anything Herr TrumpEpshTeen does is done without the use of vacuum tubes full of cash canisters running underground all through D.C., and to all the oil sheikdoms and other points of interest.
that's one thing wrong with it, the other is having our economic system depend largely on a bunch of guys so idiotic all it takes is a known liar to lie about 'talks with iran' and they say 'oh that's ok then, we'll start throwing other people's money around now that he's winding down the war'.
Former Flight Attendant here, can you imagine how the unpaid TSA agents who are coming to work feel standing next to someone who is getting paid (with a signing bonus), is untrained, and has never been subjected to honest background checks? This is where the escalation will arise.
Fabulous perspective, Monica! I think all well qualified, formerly employed workers who have been replaced by cruel incompetents (TSA with ICE) AND AI (just about everyone else) should organize, no matter how disparate their jobs/careers.
Unfortunately, that's what got us into the situation in the first place. Not that the workers were in the wrong, but when Air traffic control walked out in the 80s, Reagan fired them all.
When I hear of any accident involving a plane at any airport, I blame Reagan
I also blame him for the sad state of American manufacturing. Leverage buyouts! He was a real piece of work.
Reagan isn’t really a role model, (for ANYthing - seriously, NOTHING. He was AWFUL), but you’re right, trump may see him as one.
But the TSA isn’t out by choice or due to working conditions. It’s due to the D.H.S. mess, which ironically is being held up because of ICE and trump’s/republicans’ refusal to put limits on the violent, rogue officers.
Good point, though! 😊. It’s a sticky, prickly situation all around.
I can well imagine. Paid to stand around feeling like tough guys. And if they actually DO anything, it will probably result in chaos or death. May the gods protect our airports!
I transited via DFW late Thursday on my way back to FL from overseas. I am pleased to report that TSA personnel were in place, doing their jobs efficiently and well, and treating passengers like humans. They deserve every bit of their back pay, a sizeable bonus, and our compliments, each and every one. 🫡
No Kings on March 28th will be epic, weather be damned. The good people of Minneapolis showed us Mother Nature doesn’t matter when democracy is at stake.
A gentle reminder to the depraved Russian-asset TACO who, thanks to the hijacking of the 2024 election by Elon Musk, currently occupies and sleeps in the Oval Office: we are not Russia, or North Korea, or Hungary, or any other dictatorship on the face of the Earth, and you will not shoehorn our country into the moral and spiritual straitjacket of any such regime. So it’s way past time for you to get out. We don’t want you here any longer. Go away.
Interesting that neither of the DC-area airports (National/Reagan and Dulles) nor Baltimore are included on that list. They don't want to irritate or inconvenience the Congresscritters.
Yes. Plot those airports on a map and see the "blue" all around them. Targeted retaliation. ICE agent SCABS have nothing to do with air travel safety, and everything to do with intimidation against Democrats. We Must Hold Firm. Call your reps and senators!!
All local news reports here in the Cleveland area say ther have been no flight delays due to TSA. Guess "blue" and a fairly large immigrant population, is the reason here.
see you on the streets march 28... as we the people show twump and his orrange gang that we hate what he is doing to the US, to us. get as many people out as you can for a PEACEFUL meaningful protest....NO KINGS ...and no courtiers either!
"We had to destroy the village in order to save it," as one officer said to earn himself immortality during Vietnam.
Actually, I am happy to see ICE agents deployed to handle security at airports. Perhaps some of them will re-discover the joy of honest work. And, of course, their presence will improve morale among unpaid TSA screeners. (ETTD)
I can't imagine their handlers being bothered to inform them that, in most if not all countries, travellers are thoroughly ID'ed, including valid passport/visa for destination when crossing borders, before being permitted to board. IIRC, airlines are heavily fined for any failures to do so.
That has always been his underlying driver. His whole career has been about shaming, demeaning, overpowering and destroying anything he perceives as vulnerable and 'weak'. Destroying America...destroying the world...would be the ultimate high. As long as he's not burned.
“The war in the Persian Gulf isn’t going as expected”: it hasn’t since trump illegally and unilaterally began the war against Iran with Israel, another crazed actor.
Nothing trump does to “help” since he was president the first time has gone as he expected. Because he isn’t trying to help anyone except less than 1% of Americans.
He’s SO arrogant and SO obtuse, he’d know his tactics wouldn’t work if he’d just sat down and did 5 minutes of research on Google. His attempts aren’t novel - they’ve been sussed out countless times by previous presidents and rejected because it was determined they wouldn’t work. He just can’t be bothered to examine his “ideas” before bumbling and blundering forward like Lurch in a China shop.
Like the Oval Office? Every time I see it, it has even more gold gewgaws on the walls, cabinets, mantle. Hey, maybe he'll pull a King Midas on us? You remember how that ends?
Yep! Like the Oval Office. And the new ballroom plans. And the freakin’ BIBLE. Trump’s obsessed with gold.
I amazingly don’t remember the end of the Midas story! (Didn’t he accidentally turn his daughter to gold? Didn’t he starve to death? It’s a dim memory from childhood!). It’d be funny if he exploded because couldn’t pee anymore (after he accidentally turned his dick to gold the first time he hit the head.). I can think of no better way than that for trump’s demise.
This...."policy" of escalating and deescalating in Iran is doomed to failure. He does not control the narrative there, Iran does. To turn a phrase, he has no cards. He can bomb the shit out of them, but, the regime will survive intact. The straight will remain closed to all but Iranian controlled traffic. And no one is coming to help him. The media in this country refuses to do its job and report on how badly it's really going and how screwed he really is. He can up and leave but it won't change anything. Iran sees an opportunity to change the security arrangement of the middle east for decades to come and they are not going to give that up with faux "negotiations". There's no pulling this one back. There's no off ramp because Iran doesn't want or need one. They simply need to keep providing chaos to the region which is comparatively inexpensive to what we're paying to defend it. Additionally, with 10's of billions of dollars in fresh oil sales, they can build more and more drones and missiles. And the maga morons decried Obama and the couple of billion he used to negotiate the nuclear deal? In short, we're fucked until Iran says we're not.
His open manipulation of both the Stock and oil markets isn't talked about nearly enough. It's fraud and it's illegal.
Several Substack writers have definitely been on this, but apparently the obvious has eluded the MSM, who follow — and report — trump's frantic "market-calming" albeit contradictory SM tweets, without connecting the so-obvious dots.

Nice work if you can get it.

I’ve seen so many monitors for the orange shit stain over the years. But sack of orange slime may be the best yet.
There are an awful lot of them. That’s for sure.
As a relatively recent transplant to Oregon, and a senior citizen, I am really appreciative of Senator Wyden. I also deeply appreciate my former senator from Arizona—Mark Kelly.
Wyden and Merkley are both great, each in their own way.
Enjoy Oregon! I miss it a lot, although California has its pluses
I don't think anything Herr TrumpEpshTeen does is done without the use of vacuum tubes full of cash canisters running underground all through D.C., and to all the oil sheikdoms and other points of interest.
Don't forget about the "predictive markets" a/k/a online casinos.
Every damn thing the 🍊💩🤡does is illegal!

I am well aware of why they aren't getting paid (they actually are not "out" en masse, just many of them are not showing up and calling in sick)
My comment is in regard to why they cannot strike. They are considered essential workers.
I meant no offense.
None taken. I was just explaining what I meant.
You reminded me that TSA workers have a union. Breaking their union surely factors into this, given how anti-worker the GOP is.
I can well imagine. Paid to stand around feeling like tough guys. And if they actually DO anything, it will probably result in chaos or death. May the gods protect our airports!
And may the Gods protect our tourist industry. . .
Right now, we don't DESERVE a tourist industry. Are you just itching to vacay in North Korea?
I transited via DFW late Thursday on my way back to FL from overseas. I am pleased to report that TSA personnel were in place, doing their jobs efficiently and well, and treating passengers like humans. Maybe that’s what he wants. He can then put his own private goons into a key position.
My thoughts, exactly.
No Kings on March 28th will be epic, weather be damned. The good people of Minneapolis showed us Mother Nature doesn’t matter when democracy is at stake.
Eve! (I owe you a letter - it has been a hectic first three months of 2026, I *will* get to it).
The 28th has been on the calendar for months.
Taco in Farsi is . . . still taco.
ALEX- say his name
See my reply, Sherrie.
Quick note: wasn’t his name ALEX Pretti, not Scott?
My apologies, brain fart.
We all have them!
That said, can you correct it? I imagine it’s painful to his parents & friends to see it wrong.
Yes, corrected right away.
(I’m amazed your brain isn’t MORE flatulent, given how busy and full of info it is! 🙏)
You are correct, Wis!
I believe it was Alex Scott Pretti.
His middle name was Jeffrey (per wikipedia).
I notice we can identify who shot Renee Goode but it’s still “several agents” for Alex Pretti.
That bothers me
They’ve been identified: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/alex-pretti-shooter-identified-ice-minnesota-b2912239.html
Ah, well - that's a BRITISH paper - you wouldn't expect to see that information on US "heritage" media. . .
see you on the streets march 28... as we the people show twump and his orrange gang that we hate what he is doing to the US, to us. get as many people out as you can for a PEACEFUL meaningful protest....NO KINGS ...and no courtiers either!
I'm going to have a two sided sign
One side will say no kings
The other side will say
CHINGA LA MIGRA!

The TSA Union is already on this. ICE agents are now SCABS!!! OMG ... trump can ALWAYS make something worse.
ETTD
I fear ICE agents trying to corral supposed "illegals" in the security lines. Wouldn't that be a mess?
I can't imagine their handlers being bothered to inform them that, in most if not all countries, travellers are thoroughly ID'ed, including valid passport/visa for destination when crossing borders, before being permitted to board. IIRC, airlines are heavily fined for any failures to do so.
tRump has one unique skill… at every fork in the road, he chooses the one which will harm the most Americans.
That has always been his underlying driver. His whole career has been about shaming, demeaning, overpowering and destroying anything he perceives as vulnerable and 'weak'. Destroying America...destroying the world...would be the ultimate high. As long as he's not burned.
We can only hope that a motivated lynch mob catches him at some point.

As has been said, "Everything Trump touches dies."
THAT wasn’t what he expected, either - he wanted it all to turn to gold.
Like the Oval Office? Every time I see it, it has even more gold gewgaws on the walls, cabinets, mantle. Hey, maybe he'll pull a King Midas on us? You remember how that ends?

How about this…as traders gambled on what new chaos would result….
Fixed it for you, Jay, you’re welcome.
This article put things in perspective which helps. Thanks.
The work you do is special.
