Hello from London! I’m here visiting my sister Mimi, and my company is beginning rehearsals this week for the musical Allegiance starting George Takei. As the composer, my work is largely already done so I’m around just for the first part of the process then will return for our opening week in January. Very exciting to see our show play to audiences across the Pond!
I’ll be back on Substack this Wednesday, and barring any other big developments I’ll give a preview of the big Moore v. Harper case before the Supreme Court. It is a potentially dangerous case addressing a long debunked and discredited legal theory about the rightful role of state legislatures in federal elections. But with Supreme Court, it’s gotten another look.
We’ll take a deeper dive soon on this!

The famous Daunt Books. I could spend days just here!
Glad you got to hang around after the COVID bout to spend time with your family. Hope all the prep for Allegiance goes smoothly. The upcoming deep dive into the next SCOTUS craziness sounds ominous. Keep up the good work!!!
My husband and I did a brief touristy tour of England in 1995.....so much history to see and learn about and not enough time. Good luck with your musical...how can it miss with George Takei?!
