How sad that something so vital as CRT is being made out to be a bad thing by trying to teach the truth in history. The white washing of history is ridiculous, if we can’t teach the truth how do we prevent it from recurring? Racism is still so prevalent in America it’s sickening!

Texas legislators seem determined to win the race to the bottom with Florida and several of the other red-led states.

we shouldn't teach things "because parents believe that their children shouldn’t be made to feel bad about their own heritage"??? Oh poor little oppressed white kids (SMH) History is history, just because your ancestors did things that make you cringe doesn't mean it didn't happen or we should protect their generation from the truth. Learn from the mistakes, don't bury your head in the sand and pretend it didn't happen. But apparently they would rather the hate and racism continue

Texas, is poised at this time to be a microcosmic example of what will happen when we allow relatively uneducated, indoctrinated, hatemongering, authoritarians to gain control of the ruling systems of a society. From the tone of the article I must seriously doubt any of the people who had a hand in writing HB3979 have clue one about what they are trying to regulate, similar to the time and effort put into making their power grid "independent" and the horror show that is their attempt at regulation of women in reproduction. I will not deign to call them "pro-life" as all I see is an attempt to exert control over it. You cannot control what you do not understand and like all the other street corner messiahs screaming about the coming apocalypse, they will never notice that the "unwashed masses" are not listening to them.
