For example my local morning AM morning news station aired portions of the interview with Kelly. I thought that was important for a station that tends to be Trump friendly because they know the listeners are older and right of center.
You know, I actually think that Trump talking this way about the military is the ONE THING that might dissuade some MAGA people from voting for him. Before I retired, I had a certain right-wiing client who was a VietNam vet, and his whole argument against the left was that some demonstrators had spit on soldiers coming home from Vietnam.
That is the best idea. But I doubt it would ever happen. He’s got too much to lose. But if he doesn’t, and we end up with the orange nut, how much more will he lose?
Now, what Gen. Kelly has been quoted in stating per the Atlantic article has been public knowledge for some time, it's just been collated under a single piece, with additional augmentation by Gen. Milley remarks, and most pointedly as "new" is the "$60,000 to bury a fucking Mexican" tRump remark.
Taken collectively, this unmistakingly can qualify as an "October surprise" - or THE surprise, but it won't, as all of the shite coming out of the Orange Felon's mouth has long been baked into the voting public's construct of the man, so it will pass quietly away as the news cycle clanks inexorably toward Election Day.

So True, I just got off the phone trying to convince a. Democrat neighbor to vote for Harris. I pointed out (I hope) that her failure to vote for Harris would result in a vote for Trump! I've encountered too many Democrat's who refuse to vote, and Voter Apathy is Rampant!
He, and Gen. Milley, are prolly worried about being hauled into a military tribunal by tRump's DoD if the latter is elected...if I were them, I certainly wouldn't discount that possibility. Now added to tRump's growing list of "the enemy within".
