Love the conversation with a MAGA! Thanks.

"Me: If someone intentionally took classified documents, then obstructed an investigation by deceptively interfering with their recovery, agreed, sure, that person should go to jail. For a long time."

Bravo, Jay! Entirely agree-- Trump needs to go to prison.

Thank you for clarifying the issue of Biden having classified docs in a closet.

I git scared there for a hot second when you mentioned "speed bump". As soon as I saw it was about those few documents being found in a locked closet in an office Biden last occupied about 4 years ago, I relaxed. That story is a nothing burger. While it'd be interesting to know why the documents were there, it pales in comparison to what Trump has done with reference to keeping documents that don't belong to him.

Thank you for your clear analysis of the differences between the documents Trump brought to Mar-a-Largo and the ones found in a locked closet in Biden's previous office. You verified my opinions!

Thank you for your conversation tips. I wrote my own last night, and I like yours better! I have tried to avoid this whole conversation until more facts come out. I hate eating crow. Fortunately, the lawyers did the right thing and Garland did the right thing. He chose a US Attorney appointed by Trump to review the documents- one of two that Biden didn't replace, as is the norm. The other one he kept is the guy in MD who is investigating Hunter. I've used that tidbit a few times. Would Trump have done that? No.

You are awesome. Please forgive me-I would amend your final sentence. I would simply write: Forever.

BIG GRIFT: Good to see Jack Smith, David Rody & other Prosecutor team members go after the $250M Grift. PIck 5 of the 60 plus failed & promptly dismissed election lawsuits: Exactly when was the Lawsuit filed? Exactly when did grifting begin? Exactly when was the Court's dismissal order served on Rudy & Hacks? Exactly when did the grifting stop, if at all? What percentage of the Mark's money made it to the PAC? Who, what scam got PAC money? What are the specific criminal elements of Fraud-in-the-Inducement? Members of the jury, I will now read you the Jury Instruction.

The media -- all stripes -- love "equivalency". Even false equivalency, such as legal BLM protests and J6 insurrection, and now the classified documents issue. It's literally in their reporter DNA.

The "fine print" you so clearly lay out is too challenging for many reporters and editors/producers (esp. TV) who package everything into 30 to 60 seconds. Once over lightly is doing us all a massive disservice.

No way. Ha, MAGA supporters are not capable intellectually to carry out this conversation. Political hacks voting GOP gonna repeat the talking points in the echo chamber before being asked to send donations to Trump for sure.

Thank you. Nicely explained.

Thank you, Jay. You make me smile every single day!

I will believe he will be held accountable when I see it and if Biden did something wrong he just like Trump should be prosecuted

MAGA: If Biden did it, then Trump can do it too!

Me: Nope. That would mean two wrongs make it right. But as we learned in grade school, that does not compute.

The only mitigating factor I see here is in regard to trump, who, rather than taking the obvious course taken by Biden, may have been disabled by his habitual lying to start down the slippery slope we’ve seen him on.
