Big shoutout as well to the two US Olympic figure skaters who defended LGBTQ+ rights at a press conference after their performances...haters went berserk on-line following their comments, which shows how much work still needs to be done by Jay's org. and others holding the line against hatred.
I donated because everyone deserves to be treated equally and fair. I was born in the year of the horse. When I heard it was the fire horse I thought what a powerful symbol for the coming year. I think it's going to be the year of the resistance.
I donated proudly. I was singing with a Gilbert & Sullivan community choir at a church in the upper Market the night SCOTUS decided Obergefell v. Hodges, and as church bells rang all over San Francisco, the joy was unforgettable. I want this joy forever.
