Not only are they “overcharging cases and under delivering results” but they are taking time away from what might be very very important cases that are not being investigated. ICE murders come to mind.
You are correct to write about this topic. An even better conclusion on this topic is that these vexatious prosecutions should NOT be happening, and the perpetrators of the vexatious prosecutions should be heavily penalized.
if, everytime a government lawyer pulls a stunt like this they get disbarred, the prez might end up cleaning out the malefactors so the next sane president doesn't have to.
maybe write about them as a pattern, not as individual cases. the cases you mentioned were doomed from the start and belong in the comic pages of a local newspaper.
Jay, would you please look into the case of Rep. Monica McIver from NJ? She was charged with assault of an ICE agent at Delaney Hall over a year ago, and charges are still pending. No one seems to be paying attention to her case, and since I also live in NJ, I would like to know what is happening with the case. Thank you.
"These matters are, on their face, ridiculous. But they are also a kind of camouflage."
Y'know how few people think that Trump is accurate in saying that the 2020 Election was compromised? What if he's making a HUGE noise about it now, not because he believes this, but because he has plans to compromise the next elections, and if he makes the whole topic entirely toxic now, nobody will believe statisticians that say there are problems later?
These cases are all announced with great fanfare on Fox and the other propaganda for profit networks. When they fall apart, they are never mentioned again. The viewers end up with the belief that the original case was legitimate. Actually winning in court isn’t the point.
The truth is what I say it is, not what the evidence shows.I have to be right every time, because my narcissistic ego will not settle for anything less. I am a law unto myself; get on board or be squashed like a bug. I can change my mind 10 times and each time it'll be the truth. That's the rules. Did I say you can occupy even the tiniest corner of my sandbox?

Looking forward to reading your piece.
Considering that these ridiculous cases are part of the Administration's Brand, while it would be great to ignore them, I don't think we should.
I wish there were a way to label everyone that brings these things to be vexatious litigant or whatever at the FEDERAL level.
SIGH
Jay --

because he won't stop; his ego won't let him.
Flood the airwaves with all kinds of stuff and sneak things through the noise.

the pattern is the important news.

The reason there are SO many cases are so their base understands the volume of crimes by the left- MIRROR THAT UNTIL THEY’RE GONE!
Be RELENTLESS- it’s the only way the right will understand the volume of their crimes!!
Prosecutors overcharging a case is nothing new. Doing so without some credible evidence and a viable legal basis is unique to the current DOJ.
