Faux News has fomented the divide and the hatred in this country between Democrats and Republicans and their lying needs to stop. I would like nothing better than to see them self-destruct!

It’s inevitable the the Republican Party will die. Demographics and their own increasingly vile policies guarantee it.

The only question is how much damage they’ll lead us to do to ourselves in their way out.

"transparency… [so that] each person can come up with their own conclusion.” McCarthy

Umm, but you only released it to fox news. So each person cannot come up with their own conclusion. Each person can only conclude what to think based on the limited, and curated footage, fox news has released.

Transparency would be providing the footage dump to any outlet that requests it

The Republican house of cards is inevitably losing it’s foundation. At this point in time there is barely enough kindling left to set a match to. MAGA will go out in a fizzle, rather than a blaze and the MAGAots will go running in search of a new rocks to hide under. When this happens, Democrats must seize control and pass as much election protection as humanly possible. We need to plug the holes and vague language in our system. Identity those which weaken our democracy and enable people who would seek to destroy our nation. It’s time to cement our foundations and fireproof our freedoms. Identity and secure our faults, stress the importance of voting and truthfulness in our media. Ignoring the problems that led to our current crisis is playing with fire.

Just finished Adam Schiff's Midnight in Washington this morning. I implore people to at least read his epilogue and afterword. Kevin McCarthy is a very dangerous man. And we are STILL PERILOUSLY close to seeing an end to democracy with all the frantic disenfranchisement of Democratic voters and the number of GOP operatives in state governments tying the hands of Democrats. The 2024 election will be as dangerous as 2016 and 2020.

I just reposted this on FB with the following comment. A little much, maybe, but I don't think scorn will help. Holding out a hand might. "The Eagles are coming...

It appears that the biggest barriers to healing our divisions will be to find ways to encourage certain segments of the public to abandon their visceral attachment to toxic negativity. It's tough to break any addiction, but it's achieved successfully by many every day. If any in your circle are suffering from this, please do not gloat - sincerely express your sympathy that they have been betrayed and let them know you understand how upset they must feel. I'm serious - no addict can recover without help and support. Let's try to be the good guys. (Yes, I'm the dreamer and the eternal optimist, most days.)"

Why isn’t it viewed as stolen property, how does McCarthy have authority to give that away? This was wrong, should be archived confidential information for 20 year’s minimum!

I’m sure Dominion could use Carlson’s latest report as evidence that he knows the truth yet repeatedly perpetuates the lies and that Fox News allows this to happen. His latest ranting a must be like a gift for Dominion’s attorney.

Queen Regina!!! Love it. Stressful week here, so I am preparing the popcorn and planning to observe. Gads, this is almost as good as people watching at the airport or a dog show.

My brain hurts when I try to understand the GOP grievances of today. They have tantrums when restaurants add vegetarian options, or when more charging stations are created for electric vehicles. Meanwhile, none of their rights are being taken... there’s just more options on the menu for everyone! They do, however, seem to be OK with taking away other people’s rights that they don’t agree with (even if it has no impact on them). I just don’t get it. When I try to see where they’re coming from, I just get headaches.
