Nice, thank you. I sent a thank you card to Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, before she died, for them being such good people, and he a great President. Their Foundation sent me back a note, with their names, acknowledging the gesture. They were the classiest, kindest people you could ever want in a First Couple.
Oh, my goodness, Jay, your Ma is such a treat. Are you sure she was Chinese? I'd swear she was Italian! Glad I have the book; now to settle in to read it.
I guess your Ma didn't think it was bad enough you stuck your foot in your own mouth with that,in front of God and everybody, but you managed to put your foot in hers too! 😉 So funny!
I called my Mother Ma for more years than I can remember, and we lost her a year ago Jan.5.The world seems a very empty place without her in it.I would say the same as you,"Thanks to my amazing and beloved Ma."
So sorry for your loss. I lost both my parents over the past 4 years and nothing can fill the void left. I can though now talk about them with fewer tears.
Delightful story. I especially liked “WHO WILL STOP THEM, CIA?” And they didn’t!
Different times!
Mrs Carter did have an infectious laugh, even over the tv machine. 🤗 Lucky you got to hear it in person. What a great story!

Charming. I felt like I was there amidst a warm crowd with a mini-Jay eliciting genuine laughter from the First Lady.
What a delightful story! You were a very lucky young man......and that good fortune has continued for you. May it cascade into the new year!!!
🤣🤣🤣 that’s delightful - you probably made her day.
I'm sure the Carter's pillow talk was wonderful, cannot stay married that long without great communication and kindness. Thank you for this story.
Jay, you always ask the big questions!
Ha!
What a wonderful memory and I’m sure Mrs. Carter shared that story for years!!
