Thanks for your succinct essay about the latest Trump self-generated crisis. The records alone can’t have been enough to require a search. Garland needed something bigger to justify the raid. Hope he’s right or the Fascist era will begin soon with MAGA aroused, armed and cloaked in moral outrage. It’s a better read than a NYT thriller. Hoping for a happy ending.
I suspect that the FBI also chose Monday since the TFG was in New York and the agents did not want to deal with irate ex-president. Image the outrage arresting him for assaulting an agent.

Obviously, the DOJ is bound by self-imposed niceties. If this is the case, ask yourself, why have they not done so? Why is the GOP demanding that the AG face the scrutiny?
