This is great news. Almost makes up for Heather Cox Richardson's story about CBS hiring that meshugganah schlemiel Mick Mulvaney as a pundit.

It needs must be noted that Watergate didn't involve a public accustomed to instant gratification by means of pocket-sized electronic devices.

Finally! Maybe now we can all breathe a small collective sigh of relief that SOMETHING is, at last, making us feel that there's a bit of hope for the future. Thanks, Jay, for all you do for all of us!

Thank you. It was getting tiring to hear people complain the DOJ wasn't doing anything, just because they weren't making publuc announcements.

Thanks for the encouraging news as well as the reminder that Watergate, a much simpler case involving far fewer participants, did get plenty of top level convictions yet took much longer to complete than the Capitol insurrection. That is both good news and bad. This is moving at rocket speed by comparison even though it may seem to us very slow. Unlike Watergate, the perps were well known, shunned by nearly all, and knew they had no chance to return to public service. That is not the case with the current crop of deniers, who remain defiant and popular despite their crimes that are obvious to any rational observers. Fortunately, the majority of us are rational. Hopefully, all of us will vote in November.

Most EXCELLENT update, thank you! Praying every day that the guilty traitors see their day in court.

Maybe this is why they're shouting about the "newly found evidence" on the famous laptop. Especially after tfg asked Putin for his help on that. And the "lawsuit?" against Hillary for the Russian investigation..? Same old deflect & distract. What else will they pull out of their... hats?

It is obvious to me that the Status Kuo audience is politically populated by long standing left leaning liberals. Liberals are for the freedoms of equality and fairness for ALL Americans.

The Democratic Party is the liberal party and the republican party no longer exists since a series of events unfolded over the last six years. The r’s can only now be considered a cult of authoritarianism enablers.

America has an election this November 8, 2022. The National Democratic Party does not seem to realize that a lot of potential voters that could vote Democratically are not hearing a convincing reason to vote Democratically.

Why?

Because the r’s are way better at promoting convincing lies than Democrats are at convincingly telling the truth.

Something gotta change…RIGHT NOW!

Any game changing suggestions…mmmmmmm!?

The reminder of the watergate timeline is important. We live in a time of instant gratification, which is sometimes incongruent with rigorous and fair (if not swift) justice. With the crucial 2022 elections coming we all feel the pressure but the Biden administration DOJ stays in place through 2024.

What do you make of the DOJ's failure to move forward with contempt indictment(s)?

Thank you for your bringing clarity and hope. There are moments when I wonder if I will need hard evidence that the sun rises on the East.

Why do they leave us dangling for so long? We've all been giving up in despair.

Thanks for your perspective and information. I sure hope you're right. I just fear what will happen if we lose the House and Senate in November. It feels like we're headed toward a massive train wreck from which we may not recover.

I just hope things move along & get serious before the midterms. R’s are pretty confident they’ll be taking back both houses.
