On Sunday night, Rolling Stone dropped a bombshell story. Two witnesses considered key to the investigation of the January 6 Committee had been speaking extensively for weeks to reporter Hunter Walker about their role in organizing the pro-Trump rallies that took place on January 6. For the first time, these organizers named congressmembers as well as some key White House aides who had been part of the planning.
One glaring this is, trump was never taken to a secure location by Secret Service. If he wasn't in on it, wouldn't that have happened straight away? He knew, Secret Service knew, a lot of people knew. If this doesn't get DOJ moving quickly, considering how many of these people are still in Congress, then nothing will.
Jay, the Rolling Stone article confirms what I think many of us have believed for months. I know that DoJ has to keep quiet about the status of its investigations, but it would be really nice to have some arrests, office searches, and general humiliation of the conspirators. For the peace of mind of thinking people across the US and the world, among other things. The continued sense that these traitors might actually get away with their crimes is depressing and wearing. I have said since the beginning of the Trump regime that the wheels of the federal criminal and intelligence agencies grind slow, but they grind exceedingly fine. It would be nice if we started actually seeing some results that look like perp walks.
Thanks for more information as it surfaces. The closest I got to this was in the Alabama Political Regester about meeting on Jan 5th in the White House during the day and that evening at Trump's hotel with his sons, Guiliani and others
If you want to go down a total Jan 6th rabbit hole, check out Seth Abramson's Substack, Proof. He has been publishing journalism regarding the pre-insurrection "war rooms" and events of the day, and the actors involved, for months - and it has largely been ignored by mainstream media till the past few days. (The Jan 6 committee, however, has been aware.)
All Republican members of Congress who participated in the planning of the insurrection must be held fully accountable and responsible for their actions that facilitated in anyway the insurrection of January 6th, just as those who actually participated are being held fully accountable so to, the members of the House and the Senate must also be held to our laws. These lawmakers all violated their oath of office and now they need to be ejected or resign immediately, period! Enough of their lies hold them all fully accountable for sedition.
I can't recall who did this, but weren't detailed maps of the Congressional buildings also released, including the escape tunnels that were used to remove Pelosi, Pence, and others? And weren't the points of "attack" also suspicious in their coordination? Nobody is dumb enough to believe this was a random "tourist visit" out of control.

More evidence of pre-planning are the high number of building tours given prior to Jan 6, at least it appears that way on the surface.

Great article!
Whatever happened to the investigation of the disabled panic buttons in selected members offices?
Do the Trump pardons of Stone and Bannon limit the legal prosecution for their actions?
Not if their actions are post-pardon.

I haven’t any credible source or original reporting that supports that narrative, though I did see it stated a number of times.
Great article. I have one small objection though: "This is probably a flat-out lie," is a poor way to frame an opinion.
If it were the staff member of nearly any other Congressmember…
Dude…. Decaf. Give it a try.
