The Week Ahead
I’ll be off today for the New Year holiday nursing my legs. We went to a street dance festival for 10 hours! The old “talking filibusters” had nothing on us.
It’s a very interesting week ahead as Kevin McCarthy searches for five votes he may not have and the House leadership battle threatens to go into successive votes for the first time in 100 years. The saga of George Santos aka Anthony Devolder continues as well, with new investigations and questions arising daily. Meanwhile, with the holidays behind them, prosecutors Jack Smith and Fani Willis are expected to accelerate their cases. Will indictments begin to drop this month?
We start diving in tomorrow! Enjoy the day off, and we’ll catch up soon.

The McCarthy Play (first act) will be Televised tomorrow. Reportedly there are 5 Never Kevins & 9 Let's Make-a-Deal(s). At this point, Kevin will take a "Present" but, not voting or the "Not Attending" for any reason, "I was sailing on the Potomic trying to get a family member to an Emergency Room" works. Santos? Who?
