My birthday week delivered a gift of an indictment of Donald Trump in Manhattan (thank you, universe!) and a bonus of many humorous takes on what is also a very serious matter.

Republicans began whining a lot about the impending arrest, so folks on the left came to shut that down.

On this next one, I was gonna say, “Who wants to tell him?” But someone told him.

This guy tweeted this before anyone even knew the indictment count.

Sen. Lindsey Graham actually, tearfully pleaded for money on behalf of the indicted, twice-impeached ex-president—but got a reminder of what he had said right after January 6.

Trump also publicly raged against the judge who will be presiding over the case. That’s not very wise.

Starting to think snorting a bunch of Adderall and rage tweeting out the judges name may not be an effective case strategy but I guess it Depends.

Protestors showed up at Trump Tower after it was announced that Trump had been indicted. Oh sorry, I meant “protestor”—singular. And it was…awkward.

Economic hardship was on the minds of the tone-deaf writers of Bloomberg. This reader called the publication out for lamenting how a $100,000 salary feels like $36,000 in NYC:

And speaking of bans, there’s a big push to ban TikTok, so before they do, people started posting their favorites. This one of a guy singing the back and forth comments on social media is a classic, and reason alone to keep the platform.

On the subject of bans, Sen. “Marsha Marsha Marsha” Blackburn of Tennessee had some thoughts about Democrats, who she claims supposedly love to use words like “ban” and “control.” But with a simple query the internet came back with receipts. Who’s the queen of bans again, Marsha?

I am surprised that nobody covered the new law in Florida that schoolbook page numbers have to skip from 68 directly to 70. I could only find that link.....

I just posted the Judas/Jesus exchange on my church choir's homepage saying, "Too soon?"

Folks were cracking up, it's that kind of a choir.

Our excellent Pastor (and also a Tenor...) replied "I think you mean Thursday, right?"

Keepin' it Biblical. ;-)
