Federal district judge Lewis Kaplan has ruled that E Jean Carroll can use the infamous Access Hollywood tape in her rape defamation lawsuit against Donald Trump, further compounding the former president’s legal woes.
Judge Kaplan also ruled that he will allow the testimony of two other women who have claimed that Mr Trump sexually assaulted them, Natasha Stoynoff and Jessica Leeds.
There are some reasons to think more deeply about Drag other than simply sexualizing our children. To me a major problem with Drag is that it is a patriarchal depiction of how cishet males want women to be and to be perceived. It is insulting to actual womanhood. It is akin to how blackface depicted Black people to be how the white patriarchy wanted them to be and to be perceived. Our culture has moved on from blackface after recognizing how insulting and harmful it is. I hope that Drag will meet a similar fate. I do not purpose bans but Progressives might lead the way and do some serious soul searching about how insulting to women Drag is whether the individuals portraying it "mean" it or not.
And in other Trump-related (good) news:
