This is great news. For me there is an unanswered question in all of this that maybe you can help me with.

Back in the 1990s Trump Taj Mahal pleaded nolo contendere to money laundering in Atlantic City, and paid over $1 million in fines. Trump Taj Mahal’s parent company was Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. That always seemed to me to indicate that at least one of Trump’s businesses had a felony conviction even before the 2016 election. Why did that not loom more largely in the 2016 election? And since it did not, will it make any difference to his base to have yet one more corporate conviction to his credit?

This is all great news for the country, however, something is nagging at me. A worst case scenario. What if Manchin and Sinema's lust for power and control makes them decide to use the ploy of threatening to leave the Democratic party, giving control to the Republicans, unless they get their way on bills? I don't trust either of them. This white knuckling our way through elections every 2 years, wondering if democracy will survive, is exhausting. Unless trump and all of his co-conspirators around the country and in Congress, are held accountable, this exhausting cycle will continue for generations. I'm just so tired.
