I’m writing today over in our sister publication, The Big Picture. For many, the grief and the pain from Tuesday is too strong to do much thinking on what to do next, but for me planning how to hit back is like a balm for the soul.
In my piece, which is coming out later this afternoon in that newsletter (not here!), I walk through some early thoughts I have on how Democrats can resist Trump, force him to waste time, cause missteps, and bog him down. It’s the beginnings of a strategy I hope others can flesh out more fully.
If you’re not subscribed to The Big Picture yet but you want to read my thoughts, sign up using the button below. It’s absolutely free to do so, but of course we love our voluntary paid supporters!
Remember, you won’t get my piece later in your inbox this afternoon unless you’re on the list for the Big Picture, because The Status Kuo is a separate mailing list!
Yours in resistance,
Jay
The next mid-term election will feature all of the house and 35 senate seats to be contested.
I look forward to that.
I’ve decided I’m not going to sit in misery, I’m going to be angry, and begin to plan how to fight against the lawlessness of this criminal. I realize that anger, unless it is controlled can be counterproductive, but the alternative isn’t going to help. I want to find a community to work with to rebuild a nation from which we all benefit. If anyone knows of a resistance, I want to be an art of it.
I’m an old woman, and since we are “invisible”, we can accomplish things younger people can’t.
