Oh, it just occurred to me to look up exhibit fees for our STATE fair, which definitely draws more per day than this thing attracted in its entire run. They range from $900 to about $1,500.

Also, I was giving the figures for the Ohio State Fair, but I also looked up the TEXAS fair, the largest in the country which runs for 24 days! Booths there max out at $5000. Someone is pocketing a lot of money for those barren cubbyholes at the "Great" American State Fair.
The Big E in Massachusetts runs 17 days and attracts more than 1.5 million people each year and costs far less than what they were charging for this. Most booths are charged per square foot of space or a percentage of sales for alcohol sales. Some agencies have a flat fee of $500 for a booth. It's absolutely disgraceful what they expected states to pay to be a part of that. States shouldn't have had to pay anything. And from what I've seen, the exhibits were pretty pitiful.

I haven’t seen crowd estimates (likely bc they will piss someone off) but in the past it has run to hundreds of thousands
