As a former Republican, I never thought the day would come when the formerly all American only party would support our sworn enemy. They have truly exchanged the truth for a lie. I hope the US survives.

They're not called Red States for nothing. If Putin decides to annex them after Ukraine, he'd probably get little resistance, at least from most of the residents.

I'm beginning to think we all live in Alice's Wonderland where things are upside down. I'm 63 years old and remember quite clearly when one of the Republican Party's unifying themes was being anti-Communist and anti-Russia (or Soviet Union). The man who's considered the "best" Republican president in modern times, Reagan, is famous for his tear down this wall line and being responsible for the collapse of the old Soviet Union. Now all of a sudden the Republican Party's most outspoken individuals are pro-Russia? Oy!!!!

It is clear, and has been clear for five years to anyone who was willing to read the signs, that Putin owns Trump and many other senior Republicans. My personal conspiracy theory is that the Russians used NRA conventions for years as opportunities to compromise Republicans through bribes, honey traps or other means.

There's so much dark money coming from and by Russia to the GOP...all makes me wonder about that woefully underreported story of several GOP elected officials visiting Russia a few years back (on July 4th, no less!). Why were they there? What did they receive? Are there official transcripts of the meeting(s) and with whom did they meet with?
