I’m off today, MCing a conference for the NextGen Leaders of the Committee of 100, which is a Chinese American organization devoted to building cultural and educational ties between China and the U.S. I wanted to share a precious image with you, if you haven’t yet seen it on my social media. Thank you for sharing your surrogacy/IVF story. You give me much needed hope for my gay son and his fiance who want to have a family in future. This weekend I’m off with them checking out wedding venues. I couldn’t be more excited! I love them both so very much!
Pediatrician here. Many of the most fortunate kids I see are in nontraditional families. My guess is their parent(s) worked hard to get them, and so they are valued. She's beautiful! Best wishes in your journey!

I have a nontraditional family as well. Your family in every sense of the word is legitimate. I’ll fight along side you against those who wish to tear any family apart!
I'm so excited for the two of you! So many adventures ahead. Please know that your little family has a huge team, fighting for your right to be as normal and boring as all of us parents want (and need) to be in our daily lives.
