From Robert Reich: the red mirage followed by the blue shift. The red mirage happens because R counties are more sparsely populated than D counties. D counties take longer to count. That's why tr*mp is going to declare victory early, but being the first to declare victory isn't what determines the winner!
No matter who the news calls as a winner, until all the votes are in and counted it doesn't matter. I remember one where news reports proclaimed a winner too early , and had to retract
are exit polls still a thing? and when do they report on them, and, more importantly, what do they mean? Inquiring (aging and forgetful) minds want to know.

He's at 230 and Harris only has194...not sure which swing states are in yet, though. This as of about 11:30 pm CT.
Working the polls in my state. Things are running smoothly. We do have poll watchers that have been here all day.
I have to admit, I’m shaking in my boots!
You’re not alone!
Thanks, Jay! I wouldn’t want to learn about it without you!

That’s what I said. Only 82% of the vote was in when they called it and until that last 14% is counted I’m not saying it passed or failed.
You kept me sane in 2020, Jay. I'll be there.

Thanks! Much better than wading through the morass of 25/7 broadcasters.
