It’s been quite a week in politics, and the internet had a lot of material to work with. It began with Ron DeSantis dropping out, and who better to lead us into the week than mimic extraordinaire, Matt Friend. Sound on for this clip: Given DeSantis’s war on women, minorities and the LGBTQ+ community in Florida, few on the left were sad to see him go.
Oh Man! This was an awesome collection! Matt Friend is my new favorite! And poor Ron DeSantis. Has he no shame!? 🤣🤣 The Tim Scott moments made me feel embarrassed for him. 😂

That poor child. Already stressed that another person is coming to "replace her" and then made to participate not for her, but for Mom, it seems. I bet she got in trouble too. I hate gender reveal clips...it's just dumb, but this was beyond sad.
the way the mom slaps at the little girl is very disturbing. just because the kid doesn’t want a big balloon to blow up in her face. but yeah mom bring another child into the world and soak up all that attention from your friends with this lame party idea
does anyone actually give a flip what gender their friends’ kids are?
I got that, but that is always the problem with having balloons outside and children around. So, just saying! Some unhappy creature is going to be dealing with that balloons return to the earth.
I think the mom reacted to the daughter throwing the lawn dart at people we couldn’t see on the video. Those things are dangerous and a poor choice on mom and dad’s part as a way to pop the balloon. I’m not on twitter so the video froze up before the end.
All those people yelling probably did not help. They were getting on my nerves. She's a young child and people expect her to know and understand her actions
Screaming when mom was going to pop the balloon instead and then throwing the dart was a normal small kid throwing a fit when things don’t go their way -but blaming the mom for normal little kid behavior is naive at best
i don’t blame the mom for the kid screaming. i object to the mom putting pressure on the kid to perform in front of the mom’s friends and then slapping at the kid while the kid is visibly upset just because the totally unnecessary gender reveal wasn’t going as planned. I wonder how long it’ll be before she’s slapping at the new one for equally trivial reasons
But you’re skipping over the whole fit part - the mom did just try to move on after the kid was scared with no reaction to the kid, just letting her be scared- the kid fit happens when the kid started screaming not because she was scared but because she wasn’t going to get to pop the balloon after all - and when mom tried to give the dart back to let her do it, she threw the dart at people (to the side of the camera person) - from the start of the scream, that whole part is pure 100% little kid fit, not a scared kid at all
I think you’re misinterpreting the girl’s screams - just as Mom did. IMO the girl screamed “no” because she was scared and realized her mom was going to pop that ginormous balloon.
So when Mom gave her the dart again, she threw it away because she already knew her ‘rents were going to try to make her pop it again. She was having none of that.
I was thrilled to see the balloon float away. Mom couldn’t control her anger enough to remember she was holding a balloon!
IMO she only showed nervousness so I’m definitely not seeing the level of fear you are + I’ve many times seen other little kids similar age do that exact same scream (and throw) from anger of things not going the way they imagined them - so I guess we’ll just continue to disagree
This past week's political news mades me wonder, one more time, what's wrong with the US political system that allows a convicted rapist and insurrectionist to run for anything.

The children video is referring to MAGA cult supporters. Sadly, only the chickens awaken after 30 minutes. Chickens are higher on the evolutionary scale.

Not only that, but releasing balloons into the environment is not good!
The release was unintentional. As Mom was losing her temper with her child, she let go. It was supposed to be popped and make a mess on the ground.
