Thinking of Malibu reminded me of a late-night mission to dive for lobster there years ago, sneaking past all the rich folks homes and enjoying their private beaches, scoring lobster, and rushing back over to Ojai to cook them on the grill!
Hey, Charles. The lyrics were just in my head for some reason. Her songs were played a lot on the radio. But I haven’t seen the movie nor followed the house brouhaha. I saw her on Broadway at a matinee of Funny Girl, and I’ve always been convinced that she was saving her best for the evening crowd. Memories . . .
There are no legally private beaches in California despite efforts by some rich coastal property owners to block access. The California Coastal Commission has successfully sued in the past to force said property owners to create or open up blocked access trails to the beach.
