HOW STUPID are LaCivita and Wiles??!?? The LAST thing you want to do when distancing yourself from something/someone is to threaten them if they don’t comply with your edict! I am dumbstruck at what idiots these folks are….

Paired with the bad polls numbers, there are whispers that Trump is asking around and trying to figure out if he has the right people in charge of the campaign, according to folks in the know at the Lincoln Project.

I think they are just that arrogant. They think they have the presidency bagged. My concern, as many including Jay have mentioned, is WHY do they think that. What plan is going to hand them the presidency? Votes do not seem to matter.

Ditto. What plan do they have - and were I a conspiracy theorist (please don't let me be!), I'd suggest SCOTUS is in cahoots.

Actually, at least one is a religious operative. It seems that Alito is one of The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) which means he is bound to impose his religious behaviors on everyone on the planet in order for God to come to Earth and save him and his fellow NARs. Here is Andra Watkins comparison of the End of Days ideology of the White Christian Nationalists versus the NARs. https://project2025istheocracy.substack.com/p/what-is-the-new-apostolic-reformation

She is also pointing out that one of the things the NARs need to do is get rid of pornography, but they define it differently then most people would. Hand holding outside of marriage is pornography and being LGBTQ+ is also pornography. https://project2025istheocracy.substack.com/p/this-is-how-christian-nationalists?utm_source=publication-search

So, we need to figure out who is which on the court and then impeach them for not being able to separate Church and state. In fact at this point, I would like to impeach Trump and the Bushes for foisting them on us.

The Supreme Court is indeed behind P2025. That’s why they gave tRrump immunity before they recessed. I don’t think Thomas realized that Articles of Impeachment were going to filed and in addition that a request from Dems that Garland appoint Special Counsel to investigate Thomas if he violated tax and ethics laws for receiving expensive gifts. Also Thomas and Alito were involved in Jan6 insurrection as was Ginny, Clarence’s wife. And then Thomas and Alito refused to excuse themselves when Jan6 trials came before them. And… the Federalist Society was very involved in placing three (four ?) judges on the Supreme Court (although tRump elected them for confirmation). Those judges were placed so that tRump (Republicans) would have the majority in the Supreme Court.

Expand full comment

Why indeed.

Can we talk about that?

Is the plan just to throw chaos and the election goes to the SC? They then hand it to tRmp as they handed it to Bush in 2000?

OF COURSE THEY HAVE A PLAN TO STEAL THE ELECTION, SEAL THE COUP. This is an ongoing coup!

And so what do we do then?

The president of the Heritage Foundation was quick to issue a statement that they aren’t going away. This is a quote from The Daily Beast referencing the Twitter/X post shortly after the Trump campaign issued their organized crime-style threats to anyone who tries to connect them:

"Project 2025 will continue our efforts to build a personnel apparatus for policymakers of all levels—federal, state, and local," Heritage President Kevin Roberts said, adding that he was "extremely grateful" for Dans' work on the policy platform and his "dedication to saving America."

As Jay notes here, Project 2025 is still the entirety of the plans for his next administration, something Trump lacked in 2016 and likely a main reason he didn’t do even more damage. They won’t be unprepared this time.

There are a few Trumpers in my circles (parents of friends) who are righteously indignant about Trump not being connected to P2025 and that anyone who says he is is lying. And others who think P2025 is a Dem thing. They all think P2025 is awful but are somehow being convinced 45 has nothing to do with it because he says he doesn't. So, that's the misinformation we're dealing with, and that needs to be kept in mind. Facts don't seem to matter. 😢

I have talked to a few people who don't believe he has anything to do with it, for two reasons: One, he says he has nothing to do with it and they believe him, and two, it's so awful that they can't believe he would do any of it. Some don't think any of it will affect them. Because they have no real idea what's in it, and don't care to know. These people are the ones who vote for the R, no matter who it is.
